From Baseball's Canadian-American League by David Pietrusza:

Fulford Field was donated to the City of Brockvilie by George Taylor Fulford in 1908, near the Fulford Home for Retired Ladies (despite rumors, it was not at the corner of Fulford and Fulford). A fence and the clubhouse were erected in the late 1920s. When the Pirates played there in 1936-37 its infield was still skinned.

The Oswego Palladium-Times reported on some rather haphazard conditions: “The Brockville playing field was far different from the spacious [Oswego] local ball yard. The outfield range was restricted, with balls hit over the left field fence counting for two bases. The sun also bothered the Oswego fielders, two or three flies going for extra bases when the gardeners lost the ball in the glare.”

Left field was a mere 275 feet down the line. Left center was but 300 feet, and anything hit over the fence to First Avenue was two bases.

The park has also been used since for football, cricket, soccer, and Lit-tie League baseball. It is now the home of the fearsomely named Brockville Bunnies of the Ontario Baseball Association, who having reached the finals seven times (and won them four times) in the 1970s are a lot tougher than they sound.
