Alex Duffy was also a semipro ball player in the 1920s and he remembers playing at Alco Field, the Can-Am's shortest lived park: "It was a pretty good ball field. At that time they had a regulation field up there with a mound. A lot of these fields up North didn't have mounds. Massena had one and with the backing of the Aluminum Company of America spent a lot of money on the place. They had a big grandstand. Covered."
