Alex Duffy was also a semipro ball player in the 1920s and he
remembers playing at Alco Field, the Can-Am's shortest lived park:
"It was a pretty good ball field. At that time they had a regulation field
up there with a mound. A lot of these fields up North didn't have
mounds. Massena had one and with the backing of the Aluminum
Company of America spent a lot of money on the place. They had a
big grandstand. Covered."
